It’s not Star Wars, but in 1940, seeing a “real” flying horse in the movie theaters was breathtaking. Over the years, there have been many attempts to create the ideal keying system including using infra-red and ultraviolet lighting and even a sodium-vapor system (similar to the yellow lamps once popular in street lighting) developed in Britain in the 1960s by Petro Vlahos.
